Common Sense On The Roads

Since I have been cycling regularly again, after a nasty road accident last December, my awareness of the lack of regard for cyclists has increased. That's not to say that I was not aware of the lack of common sense or road safety before but, I have to say, why does nobody look before they cross a road? As a cyclist, I am silent, and therefore people are more prone to step out without looking, because of the absence of motor-sound. When I was a child, not only was I taught road safety by my pare… Continue

Cyclists: Invisible and Inconvenient? Calling Head-Injured Cyclists ...

On 4th December 2007, I received a serious head injury in a road accident. I was on my bicycle, yards from home, and I was beginning to turn right at the T-junction into the road where I live. Have a look on Evans Cycles website..they buy the previous years models from manufacturers so should be able to get a good deal there, if not your LBS should be able to find something for you!

Does anyone know where, in London, I can buy a cheap mountain bike (second hand is fine) as my new bike, a Ridgeback ´Speed´is rather girly! (The top bar on the frame from saddle stem to handlebar stem is curved, not straight). I take a 15.5" frame size, but don´t want to look like a girly girl! Any help would be very gratefully appreciated! Thanks
