I have cycled on a London to Paris ride with them before and it was very well organised and a very worthwhile cause.

Thanks Mike - will look into it, but I'm not sure I've quite got the fitness or stamina for 320 miles in 3 days.... Maybe next year!

there are three factors that make a difference when cycling:
- distance
- wind (head or tail or side)
- hills

at least with this ride there are no major hills. London to Harwich is fairly flat, as is the ride from Rotterdam, Amsterdam and on to Brussels.

Get some training in now and you can do it!! Do the ride to Harwich and you will get the measure of it

Bike Events organise a number of fairly accessible events of behalf of several major charities throughout the year. 3 or 4 of these start in London or nearby. They're generally between 50 and 100 miles.

The first one that jumps out is London to Oxford on July 6th.

I've done quite a few of their rides over the last couple of years and they're very pleasant. They're definitely not races and all kinds take part, from kids to serious carbon fibre addicts.
